Casey Cheves
Casey Cheves is a 22 year old active duty Navy service member. Besides serving our country in the US, she also started her very own non-profit animal rescue. She goes out of her way to try to rescue animals from high-kill shelters. She is currently trying to start a program where she trains her rescues to be certified therapy dogs. Through grant funding and donations, she would like to offer those certified therapy dogs to disabled veterans for free.
She goes out of her way to serve her community, never hesitating to reach out to someone in need. She has covered thousands of dollars in vet bills for her rescues out of her own pocket. It is unbelievable what this young woman has accomplished already at such a young age. She is going very far in life and would definitely deserve recognition for all the hard work she does!
